Well the last few posts have been about natural history so I thought it was time for some gardening. At long last I've finished tidying the greenhouses out and have caught up with the potting up/seed sowing etc.
But forst a new one for me some Pleoines that have just flowered for the first time ...an'ct remember the names at the moment so a quick dash to the greenhouse is called for

Stunning little flowers they are too. Now some views in the greenhouses

On here are are a few of the chrysanths I'm growing this year plus a few Border Carnations that survived the ravages of winter in the unheated Greenhouse.

And these are some more of the chrysanths plus the toms, peppers and a few other bits. This greenhouse now houses the Propagating bench so it stays a bit warmer... but still not up to -26c!! I lost quite a few Cacti this year as well (which I never have in the past) but I guess that gives opportunities for other things.
